SensorSim : A Simulation Framework for Sensor Networks

Welcome to the SensorSim web site. This is a preliminary page for our simulation framework for sensor networks. Please revisit for additional information on the development of our simulation platform for sensor networks.

Note: Our simulation tools are currently under development. On this page, we will provide frequent updates of our tools as well as related reports and publications.

What is SensorSim?

SensorSim is a simulation framework for modeling sensor networks. Our work builds up on the ns-2 simulator and provides additional features  for  modeling sensor networks. The main features of this platform are:

• Sensing channel and sensor models
• Battery models
• Lightweight protocol stacks for wireless microsensors
• Scenario generation
• Hybrid simulation

Software

Sorry, but the unfinished nature of the software and the inability of the students who wrote it to provide the needed level of support for it has led us to withdraw the public release of sensorsim suite of tools.
