웹브라우저에서 사용자가 URL을 입력했을 경우, Apache 웹서버는 3가지 방법으로 응답합니다.
1) 정상적으로 웹 내용을 보여주든지,
2) 디렉토리 리스트를 보여주든지,
3) 에러 메세지를 보여줍니다.
질문하신 내용은 2)번에 해당하는 디렉토리 리스트를 보여주지 않게 하는 방법인데요,
DocumentRoot 디렉토리 내의 모든 파일들이 리스팅 되는 것을 방지하기 위해서는
httpd.conf파일 내의 "Options"지시자에서 "Indexes" 라는 옵션을 제거하시면 됩니다.
이 옵션은 해당 디렉토리 안에 DirectoryIndex에 명기된 파일(index.html, index.jsp 등등..)이 없을 경우
디렉토리와 파일 목록을 보여주는 옵션입니다.
이 옵션을 제거하시면 "Forbidden"이 뜨면서 permission error페이지가 뜨게 됩니다.

아파치에서 index.html 파일이 없을 때 디렉토리 목록 출력을 원하지 않을 경우에는 D<br />
