Glomosim Without Parsec
What is it anyway?
Glomosim is a very good wireless networks simulation package developed and maintained by UCLA.
Glomosim is normally used with Parsec - a simulation language based on message-passing extensions to 'C'. Parsec can use multiple computers (i.e. a cluster) to improve simulation runtime. Parsec is available from UCLA too.
For those of you who don't want to use Glomosim with Parsec, I have ported the package to pure 'C'. A Windows - Visual-C++ port is available too (thanks to Tal Oved).
Glomosim-1.2.3 port for Unix (tested on Redhat Linux 6.1)
Just enter the glomo-1.2.3-fixed/main directory and run 'make'. This should build glomo-1.2.3-fixed/bin/glomosim - the simulation executable. For a short demo, enter this directory and run 'glomosim CONFIG.IN'. The results will be in GLOMO.STAT. To get the Java-gui working you'll need the Java SDK 1.2 (or later. Also known as jdk-1.2) from Sun
Glomosim-1.2.3 port for Win32 (tested with Visual-C++ 6.0 / Windows 98)
This package is designed with the Visual-C++ IDE in mind. Just click on the 'glomo_c.dsw' file. This will open Visual-C++ with the workspace set up correctly. Select 'Build All' from the Build menu -- and glomo.exe (in the bin/ directory) will be built. Run it from a command prompt window: enter the bin/ directory and try 'glomo CONFIG.IN'. The results should be in 'GLOMO.STAT'. To get the Java-gui working you'll need the Java SDK 1.2 from Sun In case you are wondering... Visual-J++ will not work.
Note that the links point to the complete sources needed to build the package on the platform. These are not patches! 
If this is your first introduction to Glomosim, go to the UCLA site and register there by downloading the original glomosim package. This will get you regular email updates.
Any bug reports should really be sent to the UCLA team. However, if you suspect the problem is with the port (i.e. the simulation works correctly with Parsec), I'll be more than happy to help.

    I am getting a problem after downloading glomosim in my system. After entering into Java Gui and javac *.java, it is giving an error that
